General Cancellation Policy

  • Clients can cancel a service booking by submitting a cancellation request through our official platform or email.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the scheduled service date to be eligible for any refund.
  • Service cancellation requests received after the deadline will be subject to additional charges.
  • A confirmation of cancellation will be sent via email or SMS upon successful processing.
  • Cancellation policies apply equally to all service categories, including photography, makeup, decoration, and graphic design.

Client-Initiated Cancellations

  • Clients can cancel a booking anytime, but the refund percentage will vary based on the time of cancellation.
  • Cancellations made 30 days before the event will receive a full refund minus processing fees.
  • Cancellations made 7 days before will receive a partial refund (60%).
  • No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 5 days before the service date.
  • If a client reschedules instead of canceling, a rescheduling fee may apply.
  • Since company resources and team efforts are allocated upon booking, only 60% of the advance payment will be refunded if the service is canceled after confirmation.

Service Partner-Initiated Cancellations

  • If a Contrashutter service partner cancels a booking, the client will receive a full refund or a free rescheduling option.
  • In case of unavoidable circumstances (health issues, emergencies), the company will try to assign an alternative service provider.
  • If an alternative provider is not available, the company will compensate the client with a 15% discount on the next booking.
  • Frequent cancellations by service partners will lead to termination from the Contrashutter platform.

Non-Refundable Cases

  • If the service is partially delivered (e.g., a photoshoot has started), no refund will be issued.
  • No refund will be provided if the client fails to attend the scheduled service without prior notice.
  • Custom or personalized services (e.g., special decorations, printed albums) are non-refundable.
  • Digital products (e.g., edited photos, videos, graphic designs) are not eligible for refunds once delivered.
  • Any cancellation due to misconduct, violation of terms, or disputes will result in no refund.

Force Majeure Policy (Uncontrollable Circumstances)

  • If a service is canceled due to natural disasters, government restrictions, or unforeseen events, clients will be offered a reschedule or a partial refund.
  • In such cases, a processing fee of 30% will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Contrashutter is not liable for cancellations due to factors beyond its control, such as strikes, lockdowns, or weather conditions.
  • Clients must provide valid proof if they cancel a service due to personal emergencies to qualify for a refund.
  • The company will handle force majeure cancellations on a case-by-case basis.

Refund Processing & Timeframe

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method unless otherwise specified.
  • Transaction fees, gateway charges, or third-party commissions will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Clients will receive a refund confirmation email once the transaction is completed.
  • Any disputes regarding refunds must be raised within a specific number of days of cancellation for review.
